We have had an amazing first week of Term 4!
First of all, Girls Camp got to celebrate our famous Women’s Dinner, an elegant evening honoring all of the girls at camp with tasty food, dancing, and an empowering and inspirational talk from our Girls Camp Director. For dinner, each cabin gets to design made-to-order pizzas for their table, and everyone enjoys delicious and elegant appetizers. We ended the night with a viewing of the classic film, The Princess Diaries.
This term, we have quite the talented crew of counselors coaching our field sports! Our football classes are led by Counselor Josh O., who is currently on the defensive line at Brown University. We’ve included a photo below of Josh going over drills and strategies with our campers. Meanwhile, our soccer curriculum is directed by Lalo, a semi-pro soccer player from Mexico City. We’re so thankful and excited that these talented young athletes are sharing their skills with our campers this summer!
This week in Survival Skills, campers learned the skills of fire-building and tent-constructing, while the youngest cabins got to administer spa services – like pedicures and facials – to some “lucky” counselors.
Girls Camp and Boys Camp each enjoyed their own respective Cook-Outs as well, spending the evening at Balcones Beach for a sunset swim, Chili Cook-Off, skits, and s’mores!
