The end of the term is fast approaching, and we can hardly believe how quickly it has gone by! The second term has been an absolute whirlwind, and we are so sad our campers will be leaving us in a few short days!

On Wednesday, Work Crew prepared for our Nights in San Miguel theme night by getting crafty. They showcased their creativity by crafting stunning flower crowns using a mix of carnations and wildflowers. We are immensely grateful for their hard work and dedication, and they truly deserved this enjoyable activity.

Other activites on Wednesday include: slip n slide, Lake Ted, Tubing, and riflery! So! Many! Activites!

The excitement kicked off on Wednesday night with a lively song performance, filled with laughter and a skit. As the evening progressed, campers made their way to the enchanting Rose Garden, where they were greeted by a group of mariachis serenading them. Our Mexican campers and counselors took the lead in curating a delightful array of Mexican delicacies, including a tempting churro bar with indulgent Nutella and various toppings, mouthwatering Mexican street corn, and popular Mexican candies. They also organized cultural activities such as dart balloons, lotterilla, and even set up a photo booth featuring custom-made Mojiangas, which are giant paper mache dolls. These dolls were crafted to resemble our beloved Camp Director Maggie and the dedicated full-time staff member Diego, and they were an absolute hit among the campers.

Once everyone had savored the delicious treats and participated in the engaging activities, it was time to move the festivities to the Rio for an unforgettable discoteca dance party. Stepping into the venue felt like being transported onto the vibrant set of the movie “Coco,” with pulsating strobe lights, neon colors, and a lively DJ booth. Campers danced the night away to the infectious beats of Latin music and beloved camp dance classics. It was the perfect evening!
