We start our day strong with breakfast!
In addition to our daily selections of creamy oatmeal and toppings, fresh fruit medley, a toast bar, and scrambled eggs with salsa and cheddar, every morning at breakfast we serve featured breakfast menu items! On Monday, your campers also enjoyed:

Every morning after breakfast, our campers start their day off with Team Competition, AKA “Team Comp”. This friendly competition includes games like kickball, mini soccer, O-Ball, Nuke Em, and Steal the Bacon. The winners of each game earn their respective teams (Rough Riders and Silver Spurs vs. Texas Rangers and Lone Stars) points toward a head start for our highly anticipated Amazing Race at the end of the term.

Ooh la la! French cooking is the cuisine this summer in cooking class —French toast, french fries with home-made ketchup, financiers (yummy cakes), crepe suzette and Escargot !!! Campers prep, cook and then feast on these delicious bites!
For the second night of camp, our campers start off the term strong with Counselor Hunt!
Counselor Hunt is a giant game of hide and seek around camp, where half of our counselors run and hide around camp, while the other half run with their campers in search of the hidden counselors! Hiding counselors award 500, 400, 300, 200, and 100 points respectively to each cabin that finds them in their hiding spot. After all counselors are found, campers head back to the Gridiron where their points are tallied by our trusty bankers.
Afterward follows an intense jeopardy style silent auction for a variety of prizes! With Survivor music in the background, cabins come up one by one to pick a blind prize that is then revealed to them!
Classic Counselor Hunt prizes include an on-the-spot trip to Sonic, a pizookie, nutella milkshakes, Chil-Fil-A breakfast in bed, lukewarm cups of water, rock pets, and a giant tub of mayonnaise (with 2L soda bottles inside). Our big news of the night is that, for the first time in camp history, the Trip To Starbucks prize was returned! Bowie cabin sent it back and instead exchanged it for Chil-Fil-A breakfast in bed! Not a bad trade, but a shocking gamble that we’ve never seen taken before here at CBS.
