Our current team competition score is:

Texas Rangers and Lonestars: 48

Rough Riders and Silver Spurs: 24

The Texas Rangers and Lonestars continue to hold their lead over the Silver Spurs and Rough Riders.

Featured Activity Highlight - Arts & Crafts

Arts and Crafts this summer has been focused on creating a curriculum that is adaptable for all ages! For older campers, we’ve been working on mini beaded potted plants and bottle cap pins. With the younger campers, we’ve been making pony bead lizard keychains and tie dye shirts. Additionally, the ceramics and painting classes have been increasingly popular with more kids opting to try out watercolor painting or pinch pot making. We’ve also introduced daily phunanza crafts where kids can get a chance to spend their free hour working on a new project specific to that day. Overall, the crafts shed is busier than ever with campers of all ages, boys and girls alike, all getting a chance to try out a variety of crafty skills!

Evening Program Highlight - Life’s a Treat

Life is full of sweet surprises, from finding $5 in your pocket to getting the best bunk at camp! Last night we celebrated all the “treats” life gives us, big wins, little joys, and everything in between! For our final themed night of Term 3, we ended with a bang and another exclusive Term 3-only night! Life’s a Treat left everyone dancing with joy!

Campers made a butterfly pin wall where they decorated a butterfly and wrote on it the “treat” of life they’re most grateful for, they played poker for phun passes, got their faces painted, and played guess the treasure chest to win a sweet candy treat! They enjoyed an ice cream sundae bar, frozen sour grapes, fruity pebbles krispie treats, and star shaped grilled cheeses.

And of course, our Rio was decorated to the nines for this dance! Once again, all windows and doors were blacked out, strobe neon disco lights spun around the space, handing garland was strung from the ceiling, and a bandana rope zip zagged overhead.

We even had a guest appearance from pitbull himself (Camp Director Maggie Picket), tearing up the dance floor.

A night to remember!
