Our current team competition score is:

Texas Rangers and Lonestars: 54

Rough Riders and Silver Spurs: 26

The Texas Rangers and Lonestars continue to hold their lead over the Silver Spurs and Rough Riders.

Featured Activity Highlight - Camp Store

The Camp Store is one of our campers’ favorite places around camp year after year! Whether it be for phunanza or a minor activity, the Camp Store is a place where campers can go and load up on all things camp! The newest T shirts, hats, and tanks always fly off the shelves! Campers also browse team bandanas and merch, camp themed plushes, Owala waterbottles, playing cards, stationary, frisbees, and more.

Evening Program Highlight - Music Video Awards

Music Video Awards is undeniably the most unforgettable night of Term 3! We’re back with another Term 3-only night, and it’s a big one!

Because of the extra week we have here with Term 3, every cabin, with the help of our fabulous media team, puts together a Music Video. Some are short films, others are lip syncs, dance performances, and so much more. Our campers’ creativity always blows us away.

In this unforgettable night, all campers watch each music video, organized into categories, and then a winner is presented for each category, as well as best overall, directors choice, etc.

To start the night, campers are shuttled to the circle drive where they exit onto a red carpet, complete with red velvet ropes and paparazzi. They proceed into our archway for cocktail hour, with a mocktail bar and appetizers. They then enjoy a buffet dinner in the Gridiron, set with linens and flowers on every table. Next, it’s time for the big show!

Campers head into the Rio, transformed into an Oscar-worthy venue. They sit with their cabins, and wait for the show to begin! Camp Director Maggie Picket and Emergency & Safety Director Jose Avila emcee our event, with plenty of jokes to entertain the crowd. To announce the winners of each category, our Leadership Team comes up in groups and performs various skits to introduce each category and announce the winners. This year’s skits included the Chippettes, the Blue Man Group, Sean Paul and Enrique, a group of mimes, Marty Supreme, and Mike Wazowski & Sully. All category winners are below!

Cutest Video: Hughes

Most Chaotic Video: Work Crew

Funniest Video: Scampers

Best Girls Video: Blanton

Best Boys Video: Scurry

Best Actor: Ferdinand

Best Actress: Maddie

Best Cameo: Truly in Porter & Houston videos

Editor’s Choice: O’Connor

Director’s Choice: Ladybird

Best Overall: MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

That’s right, for the final category and its winner, as campers sat on the edge of their seats, hoping to hear their cabin’s name, Mission: Impossible music sung through the Rio as all the lights went off! For the first time in camp history, we have an MVA Mission Impossible!

Our campers dashed back to their cabins, threw on their camo garb, and set out around camp to find and capture glow sticks in order to save CBS from invaders! Our winning cabin was Rayburn!

After completing their mission, all campers enjoyed ice pops before heading to bed! A night well spent!
