Every morning after breakfast, our campers start their day off with Team Competition, AKA “Team Comp”. This friendly competition includes games like kickball, mini soccer, O-Ball, Nuke Em, and Steal the Bacon. The winners of each game earn their respective teams (Rough Riders and Silver Spurs vs. Texas Rangers and Lone Stars) points toward a head start for our highly anticipated Amazing Race at the end of the term.
Our current team competition score is:
Texas Rangers and Lonestars: 5
Rough Riders and Silver Spurs: 12
And the Rough Riders and Silver Spurs continue to maintain their lead.
Our baseball and football boys’ major classes have been finding phun and creative ways to beat the heat and stay cool! We are lucky to have counselors experienced in both sports, helping the campers in their classes both learn and improve, while having phun and making lasting memories. So far, our baseball boys have practiced their slides on the slip and slide, and our football boys have perfected their diving catches at Papa’s Pool.
On Tuesday evening, our campers enjoyed Compound Night! Compound Night at CBS looks different for every age group! This special event is put together by our compound heads, with B, C, D, E, and F compounds all participating in a thoughtfully crafted event with just them in mind! Compound nights ranged from an Oscar skit competition and parade to a World Cup soccer + Shark Tank competition, a bonfire night, a lip sync battle, and night swimming + a movie on Lake Ted!
It was a night of special phun for all, with campers leaving feeling more connected with their compound, cabins, counselors, and compound heads.
