Work Crew Day-Off, Camp Carnival, & the Roaring Twenties Dance!

Today we will be talking about Work Crew’s day-off outing, Monday’s and Tuesday’s activities at camp, and two theme nights – our Roaring 20’s Dance and the Camp Carnival! At Camp Balcones Springs, the oldest boys and girls at camp – rising high school seniors – take part in our Work Crew program. Work Crew campers attend summer camp for free in exchange for their community service. Working together with their counselors, Work Crew helps prepare and clean our dining hall and dishes, collects trash around camp, and assists with various maintenance duties. Friday and Saturday was a one-two punch of brilliant performances both put on and enjoyed by the kids at Camp Balcones Springs On Friday, after our full day of major and minor activities, including tubing on Central Texas lakes, canoeing down our spring-fed swimming hole, and taking the zipline across camp, boys and girls gathered together for our Camp Balcones Springs Talent Show! Today on the Camp Balcones Springs blog, we will be overviewing our Women’s Fitness program, as well as Thursday’s activities at camp, including a special breakfast, an ice cream surprise, and Movie Night!
