Today on the Camp Balcones Springs blog, we will be discussing Camp Pranks and Raids, Movie Night, and our glow-in-the-dark seventies-themed dance, DisGlo! At Camp Balcones Springs, each cabin has the opportunity to conduct a prank or raid every term. Pranks began in 1993, the year camp officially began and they have only gotten better and more innovative since! All pranks must be approved by our full-time team and must be creative. Girls’ Cookout & Paint Wars + Men’s Dinner!

Today on the Camp Balcones Springs blog, we’re highlighting Friday night’s Men’s Dinner event and the corresponding Girls’ Cookout & Paint Wars! After activities ended on Friday, boy campers gathered at the front of camp for one of our most epic camp traditions – Men’s Dinner! Boys camp began the evening by eating sausage, turkey legs, and crusty bread according to the following three rules: 1) No utensils, 2) Shirts optional, and 3) Most importantly, no girls allowed! Boys’ Cookout + Women’s Dinner!

Today on the Camp Balcones Springs blog, we’re going to talk about Women’s Dinner and the corresponding Boys’ Cookout event! One of the most highly-rated activities at CBS that makes us a sought-after summer camp for girls is our Women’s Dinner event. Each term, girl campers get the entire front property to themselves for an elegant evening of fine dining, inspirational learning, and bonding with their fellow girl cabinmates and counselors. Horseback Camp Program + a Dr. Seuss Dance!
